About Carlien du Toit

Carlien is a skilled professional in the field of Diagnostic Ultrasound with a special interest in Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. She obtained a National Diploma in Radiography at Tshwane University of Technology (2012) and a Baccalaureus Technologiae in Radiography specializing in Ultrasound from the University of Johannesburg (2015). 

Driven by the philosophy that “You only look for what you know, and you only find what you’re looking for,” Carlien embodies a relentless pursuit of knowledge in her approach to diagnostic ultrasound. Her passion for both clinical work and education underscores her commitment to providing the highest standard of patient care. Carlien’s expertise in General Ultrasound expanded to Fetal Medicine at Chris Hani Baragwanath in 2016 before focussing her attention on Sports Medicine. She initiated a thriving satellite ultrasound practice in Centurion in 2018.

Carlien believes that knowledge shapes outcomes and therefore strives to engage in continuous learning by attending various specialized courses, including Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound. She is a driven individual fuelled by an insatiable hunger for personal and professional growth.

When Carlien isn’t dedicated to her professional endeavors, she passionately embraces her role as mother of two boys. Her commitment to family shines through as she balances her career with quality time spent with her children. Beyond her bustling schedule, Carlien enjoys to stay fit and active.
