Magdeleen is a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with a specialized focus on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. She forms part of the esteemed SonoDx MSK Sonographer team at the Center of Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

With a career spanning over 15 years in ultrasound and 23 years in radiography, Magdeleen is deeply committed to providing exceptional patient care. In 2015, she completed her Master’s degree in ultrasound. Her expertise extends to Sports Medicine and joint infiltrations, marked by an international qualification in Ultrasound Guided Joint Infiltrations from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom.

Magdeleen’s dedication to professional growth is evident in her participation in numerous advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound workshops and courses. Not only is Magdeleen a seasoned professional, but she has also lent her expertise to various sports events, serving as the dedicated sonographer for test rugby matches and multiple international Sevens rugby tournaments. Her passion for the field extends to education, where she has actively contributed to clinical training at the Wits Sports and Health Institute and SASMA.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Magdeleen embraces an active lifestyle and loving the outdoors, with running as her favourite pastime. She values quality time spent socializing with family and friends, rounding out her well-rounded and fulfilling life.
